The Hive Network was officially launched at Blackburn Youth Zone in 2012 with an aim to turn Blackburn and Darwen into a ‘world class’ business area.
Established by some of the Borough’s most influential people and companies, Hive now boasts more than 200 business leaders and has been commended by Government for its contribution to improving the local business environment (Enterprising Britain Awards 2014).
Together we will deliver a more prosperous Borough – by skill and hard work – and we encourage you to join us. Spanning all sectors and open to any local firm, large or small, Hive has made a commitment to raising the prosperity of the towns.
Our work is underpinned by Blackburn with Darwen’s Plan for Prosperity. It sets out the area’s priorities for the next six years (to 2020) and the need to create the environment for a thriving and competitive business base, leading to improved prospects for our residents. A short video from the prosperity plan launch event can be found below.
