Bee Social with Hive – Thursday 22nd June 2017
Bee Social with The Hive launches in style at the Clog and Billycock
The new Hive social series of events was launched in style with “An Evening of Gin” at The Clog and Billycock on 22nd June!
At the invitation only event for Hive member, guests were greeted on arrival with a Brockmans gin mixed with a Fevertree tonic and there was ample opportunity to network with fellow guests and enjoy a range of canapes before the main event began at 6.15pm.
Our wonderful host, Rob Broadbent from the Northcote group, along with Claire Plowes from Batch Brew Ltd and Mark Long from Cuckoo Gin guided guests through tasting four specially selected gins, perfectly matched with different tonics and garnishes.
A charity raffle was held with all proceeds going to Hive’s nominated charity, Blackburn Youth Zone.
Guests revelled in the experience with networking carrying on way beyond the expected end time of 7.30pm.
The next event is already in the planning and is expected to take place mid-late July, so keep an eye out for the next invite!
This was the first event organised by the Hive Social committee, which has been set up to introduce a social aspect to The Hive network and the committee’s remit is to get as many business people from the local community together as often as possible in a more informal environment.
The events will be hosted on a monthly basis in local venues and everyone is welcome, whatever their level within a business. Our ultimate aim is to engage more people within the local business community and to widen the Hive’s reach.
If you have any ideas for future events, or would like to host one, please let us know!
