Blackburn and Darwen Hive Ambassadors Network

Hive’s next event – Vision for the Future with Steve Waggott, CEO of Blackburn Rovers

The next Hive Ambassadors Network meeting, taking place from 11.30am on Wednesday 11 April 2018 at Ewood Park, will focus on the Vision for the Future in Blackburn and Darwen.

We will hear from the new Chief Executive of Blackburn Rovers, Steve Waggott on his plans to engage with the whole local community in order to transform the club and support the borough’s transformation plans.

Following Hive’s recent Members Engagement Survey, we will also hear from Hive Chairman, Ian Brown and Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council’s Deputy Chief Executive, Denise Park on the vision for the future of Blackburn with Darwen and how both the public and private sector can work together to create a stronger, brighter future for the area by working together and engaging with each other to create a strong plan for the next five years.

Over the last six years, since Hive’s formation in 2012, the borough has seen a remarkable rise in terms of development and profile with many significant milestones such as the opening of the wonderful new Cathedral Quarter, the new Bus Station, the National Festival of Making and the National High Street of the Year to name but a few.

Now is the time to harness all of the current good feeling and media attention beginning and build on this momentum to create a thriving, prosperous area in the heart of Lancashire.

Lunch will be provided and there will be plenty of opportunity for networking with other key decision makers from Blackburn and Darwen.

As always, it is free to attend and you are welcome to bring colleagues from within your organisation who you feel may benefit from attending.
