Hive teams up with Lancaster University for the second successful business masterclass held at BAE Systems
Hive Business Leaders Network and Lancaster University teamed up again to offer the second of a range of masterclasses for business professionals.
Lancaster University Management School have been running business masterclasses for over 10 years as part of their business engagement programmes and have drawn audiences in the hundreds from across the North West’s SME networks.
Thursday 2nd March marked the second of these events which was held at BAE System’s new £15.6m Academy for Skills and Knowledge at Samlesbury.
The masterclass was run by James Whittaker of Microsoft who has worked for and with the likes of the FBI, IBM, Ericsson, SAP, Cisco, Microsoft and Google where he led teams working on innovations such as Chrome, Chrome OS, Maps and Google+.
James is known for being a creative and passionate leader and sought after speaker and author. He regularly speaks to technical, marketing and advertising audiences to challenge people to think differently about the future.
This latest Masterclass saw James explain the technologies involved in the coming disruption and show specific examples of how they will change the way the world does business. His deeply technical background combined with his entertaining storytelling style made this story come alive, leaving the audience transfixed for over 1 hour and 45 minutes.
The event attracted over 100 bookings from business both large and small across the region and the event was a massive success with delegates.
